The Rainhas de Portugal [Queen of Portugal] cachepots pay homage to enchanting queens from Portugal's history (one of them posthumously): Inês de Castro, Rainha Santa Isabel, D. Maria II, D. Amélia, D. Estefânia and D. Leonor. Fascinating and complex figures portrayed with great sensitivity by Hélia Aluai, inspired by delicate filigree work, a typically Portuguese ornamental technique. The colors chosen - red and gold - express the passion associated with these women, as well as the cultural richness they evoke.
